Restrict editing ms word document  using Active Directory groups

I am using Microsoft word 2010, I need to restrict editing on some  sections ms word document for all users except for a particular AD group. is possible to put exceptions of a particular group.

the require is to have a contract document with terms and conditions section which can only be edited by a certain group, other sections of the document should be editable by everyone.
The options does not allow me to enter an Active Directory group, See what i did below, even if i put ad group as Domain\groupname i still get the same error.

we can't add the ad or local user group with Restrict editing.  you may add them one by one.
